For the preparation of the installation sites of the new MRI scanner at Onasseio Center, the following tasks have been carried out:

• Measure taking in order to prevent the transmission and spread of dust and bacteria due to building and electromechanical works
• Dismantling and removal of all unnecessary materials
• Installation of certified metal scaffolding for the handling of materials and equipment
• Construction of new plasterboard fire-resistant walls
• Construction of cladding on the outside walls of the MRI cage
• Installation of antistatic pvc floors of excellent quality and major friction resistance
• Installation of ceramic tiling in the WC space
• Construction of special suspended ceilings from antimicrobial material suitable for hospital spaces
• Installation of sound insulation on the MRI scan room ceilings
• Construction of plasterboard wall with an amagnetic metal frame inside the MRI scan cage area
• Installation of special metal radiation protection doors
• Installation of a frameless luminous surface made of aluminum frame on the roof of the MRI room with printing on fabric for the depiction of photographic subjects.
• Execution of plumbing work and installation of new bathroom articles in the new WC for hot patients
• Conduct of extra electromechanical work based on the space needs
• Extension of the existing medical gas network to the new location of the MRI scanner
• Installation of updated air-conditioning and ventilation systems
• Perform paintwork according to the new layout of the space
